I have worked for a few different companies and been here for quite a few flavors of Honeywell. I feel we are at a bad place where young and old engineers think of this company as a bad place to be long term. I have my thoughts on why and how it could be made better. I'm sure others have some different and great ideas as well.

The company needs to recognize that although wall street does want a CEO that can lie and sell bs, lets recognize that those are not the skills needed to run a company. The CEO is for show, but don't let them have power.

We need to break the cycle of following top down mandates that are not good for our short or long term business. If every engineer and manager from the bottom up is forced to be a puppet so they can get ranked higher, that is toxic.

We need a sustainable plan for a globalized work force. Yes, it is cheaper to use 3rd world labor, but at some point we are not a US company that customers want.

In order to retain engineering talent and promote teamwork, lets utilize our engineering managers and give them the power to retain who they want. Throw out the forced 9 block bs. Throw out the current promotion system. Take a look at some companies that have success in this area and start over. Profit sharing for all team members seems like a good idea.
