Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

This is ridiculous!

Two people left our team in the last couple of months. We just got one of the replacements and the guy barely knows how to tie his own shoelaces!

It's not the age I have an issue with - there are plenty young people who might lack experience but have more than enough knowledge and are smart enough to quickly learn how to apply it. Why aren't we hiring them? Why are we sc-aping the bottom of the barrel???

Wow ... what a generational disparity to the work ethic of “ loyalty , respect “ ... remember respect . Or are some of you having a problem actually understanding the concept through all that self entitlement you think you have .

All s**kers complaintners outdated dinosaurs just get to the work and let young smart innovate people with potential live. Isn’t it obvious that it makes more sense to invest into young talented people than in those that never proved they were worth investment? Now you know why!

Same here - fired 2 skilled people from my team then hired a student on a 3 month contract who was paid 1/2 the salary of everyone else and had no skills or desire to learn them. He left before we had the chance to not renew his contract.

I truly enjoy reading these issues : you get what you pay for . Unfortunately, the client does not . As an ex 20 year DXC employee , skilled and educated , replaced by a newbie with who had issues deciding which was his left from right shoe first , before attempting ting his laces .... all I can say is .... “ miss me yet ? “

Good resources have opportunities, and other options - so why would they come to DXC?

No surprise of course ... it all comes down to cost... cheap labour right off of college will benefit Mikey's pockets even when it's widely known and acknowledged that the real cost are much higher due to productivity issues.

Even more ridiculous, we have a vacancy that would increase DXC revenue and profitabilty. It has not even been approved for advertisment, even though the contract with the client specifies the number of individuals required. Everybody else has to pick up the slack, and then they give you some BS objective to increase revenue...
