The conditions are miserable and it's like they want people to quit. I'd be really shocked if there aren't major layoffs after the holidays. I was told that if some stores don't make their marks, they'll close this year.
There is no "like" about it, there is no other explanation for their treatment of employees. They need to get rid of more people and layoffs are expensive. The more they can get rid of through other means (quitting,), the better for B&N.
I'm determined to stick it out just so they don't save severance money on me. Otherwise, I'd be out of here in a second.
