Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Allstate layoffs - NY region

Basically, most of the work is being sent to India. Here are the upcoming plans:

Below is an overview of the initiatives launching in our CSA in the coming months:

Total Loss Processing Work to Allstate Brand Operations (ABO) – All total loss/salvage processing work will transition out of the Claims organization and into ABO hubs in North Carolina, Texas, Arizona and Pune, India. On May 28, existing total loss claims processors and one leader each in North Carolina, Texas and Arizona will be re-aligned to the ABO offices in Charlotte, Irving and Tempe. In addition to the employees who will re-align to ABO, 18 roles will be added to the Charlotte, Tempe and Irving ABO locations. These roles will be available to existing total loss processors and relocation packages will be offered.

GHRN Processing Work to ABO – All GHRN processing work will transition out of the Claims organization and into the ABO office in Pune, India.

Mitchell Data Processing – Work supporting the bill input process of third party demands will transition from casualty processors to completion by a vendor.

Rental Redesign – There is work underway to redesign our rental handling processing work as well as centralize elements of this work. The details regarding this initiative are still being finalized.

Ur an a____. So this fellow employee (And I am not the person with 38 years service) is a liability? I hope you’re a troll. I’m in middle of service range but rest assured millennial newer gen of employees makes me weep for future. Why do you think temp duty is being pushed the 20 something helicopter generator brats have no basic skills. I am manager that has millenials tell me at review “I showed up for work” omg thank you! Yes you should get huge bonus and btw a portion of them have no concept of how to arrive at a work day or meeting on time, or compose a memo or business letter , or use Excel, or what insurance is going gen in most basic terms (I didn’t hire I inherited and I’m scared when I actually have to try and find a worker I love the behavioral questions because I’ve heard millenials freeze like deer in headlights). Allstate is a good company I’m not all in or total hater but glad to have job. Wish they cared but it’s numbers like someone said.

38 years, started as a claim rep taking loss reports. I’ve done just about every front line job this company has created. I’ve added more value to this company than you can even think about.

Never f’ing question my right to post to this board or any other. Now crawl back under your desk and wait for your retirement or that call you’ve been waiting for.

So, it’s ok for you to be on this site, but everyone else is either “lurking” or “trolling “. Lot of rules. How do I know which I’m doing ?

Lemme help :

If u have worked blood sweat tears and worry about your job

Loss or relocation (which in other boards I’m told is awesome opportunity from some Allstate George Clooney Up In the Air drone) you probably built value over time the company thrives from.

Otherwise your an ungrateful wage slave that should be happy to to work wherever with $hit health benefits.

Wake up management; do you read those surveys you send out? Oh sorry it’s bout stock options.

Ok : next post will be from HO Front Office Performance Reputation Control Social Media Specialist for Shareholder Value Preservation (HOFOPRCSMSFSVP) for short.

You apologist idiots for offshoring go into your outlook email server and look up GENPACT then, I’ll go slow cause I realize your prob in mgt and don’t remember how to do real work, google GENPACT and read all the wonderful things they are doing for American labor q.v. McDonalds accting.

It’s become so apparent lurking here there are two groups 1) scared workers who want to keep working for Allstate and 2) defenders yes-men (oh sorry person) who think every decision is fantastic who clearly WORK in home office or some managerial job that involves looking at excel sheets instead of doing the work that fills those cells.

Im close to retirement but have I seen a sad sad decline in the company and how it regards its workforce. Ok prepare for response from the “front line anti propaganda media performance team” (FLAP-MPT) rofl

I have a feeling “no where you want to live”, is anywhere but your hometown, where you grew up.

Charlotte, Dallas & Phoenix are some pretty good options.

I’m not defending offshore/outsource of work to India, but back room processing will not make a huge difference to most consumers, in fact, most large financial institutions already offshore back room processing. Doesn’t mean a policyholder will be talking to a “foreigner”, but it’s a realty already for significant non-customer facing processing.

Any policy holder should be aware of the upcoming changes. My goodness, a third world hell hole handling claims and processing. Maybe not all jobs, but enough to make a huge difference that any consumer or future employee should consider.

Relax Captain America! Allstate will still be "the great American Insurance Company" just not so great to someone whose role will be filled by someone else. Maybe YOU will be one the lucky ones and your job will stay in the US just nowhere you want to live.

I'm not the one who said that, so slow your roll. I was just giving another piece of information.

How does that equate to “most of the work gpoing to India” ??????? By the way, GHRN is less than 20% of the physical damage, so it’s a small piece of the overall workflow.........but I guess that doesn’t match the narrative.

India will also be doing some of the non-customer contact stuff too for total loss processing (lienholders, etc)

“Basically, most of the work is being sent to India “...... ????

GHRN processing is being sent to India.

Mitchell processing being sent to a vendor (domestic).

Total Loss processing going to hubs in Charlotte, Texas & Arizona, which last time I checked was in the U S of A.

Rental being centralized somewhere in the U S of A, probably at a hub.

MOST OF THE WORK GOING TO INDIA ???????
