Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Layoffs in finance

Layoffs in finance across the board. Up to 30% and much of the work is moving to Costa Rica

Found this in another thread, anybody knows more about this? I am assuming this is not relating to rumors flying around due to expected Intel's quarterly results announcement.

For many years move jobs have been moved to low cost geo sites like Kulim, Penang, Vietnam, nothing surprising or out of the norm! Intel still doing exceptionally well despite all the doomsday naysayers! Reality is that there is no or very little alternative to intel.

It's true. Confirmed by a Finance friend and Oregonian article a week or so ago.

If there were a problem with the quarterly results, Intel would have released a profit warning, so no, it has nothing to do with that.

The layoffs in finance have been long expected. No big news.
