Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

How sad that Avaya has lost its culture? It is suffocating with cultural deficiency.

When corporate culture is lost, everything is lost. And, this is the sign of failure.

Once upon a time I used to have proud in Avaya's culture, but Alas! Now it is lost completely.

Look at the threads, people are blaming each other publicly. This culture change is becoming a deadly virus. No one seems to be motivated at work. There are no more leaders in Avaya but only managers.

The best leaders and the best companies make culture their number-one priority. But Avaya has completely lost it.

Now Avaya don't value the importance of culture, which is resulting in a high turnover rate, disgruntled employees and a lack of motivation.

Avayan's have started to lack patience and they make only short sighted decisions. Long-term strategies take a backseat to short-term problem solving as people has lost sight of the big picture. When a lack of patience emerges people tend to lose perspective and focus, which are vital ingredients for both business and cultural success. God bless Avaya!

In Pune , India .. 95% of the so called Engineers dont know anything ... and surviving due to politics and status quo.(You scratch my back , i will scratch yours). Get them screened by a 3rd party for their so called technical abilities ...then the truth will come out.

I know some 30 people in Pune , with 0 technical skills .. still there .. killing it slowly.

When culture is lost, everything is lost. So true! I loved this article. You know I retired with Avaya and I know what it takes to build a strong company culture. This is not the Avaya I used to work for. Doomed, this is the sign of failure of Avaya.

Happening everywhere - 'yes' managers too scared to loose their jobs and not stand for their principles.

I agree with thread. We have left with managers without any technical and managerial competency.

The present, director have very bad listening skills and believe only on political myths because they do not understand the people with real story.

As a result, good people always take hit and need to sacrifice the carrier. And eventually leave Avaya.

I know one case where excellent technical manager in Pune, who has large Avaya experience got hit due to bad listening skill of director and bad company around him. Director made him individual contributor based on all false inputs which he received from incorrect people.

Similar things are happening everywhere in many teams in Pune.

So I totally agree that, Avaya is going thru cultural deficiency due to wrong people sitting at director and senior manager position in Pune. And we are loosing good people.

No need to worry..

Chill. We keep doing BC. If you have problem then either ignore or leave Avaya.

As you can't take any action against me.

Having pity on you.

You're right, very unfortunately.

And all that is caused by the incompetent leaders (management...) of this company, and the complete un-existence of a "big picture".

Majority of people have their view ending at the end of the current working day, not even knowing what will happen tomorrow.

No wonder what got this company into bankruptcy.
