Thread regarding McKesson Corp. layoffs

#Outsourcing and #Offshoring

100+ offshore jobs added in the last six months, and MCK people sent over to train them.....

Sad to see the slow death continue.

Too bad Paragon leaders are making the same bad mistakes that ki-led Horizon, but not using lessons learned.

The only people in my office that have not packed their desks are #contractors and onshore #H1B people. Offshoring has worked so well in the past (sarcasm).

MCK management seems incapable of learning from past failures. #lessonslearned

My whole Accounts Payable Dept. in Richmond VA was severed over the last year due to this outsourcing project by McKesson Corp. I had served them for 11 years and literally went through hell there. I am working again, but at the age of 62, I hope I can retire soon. This was my second severance related to outsourcing. My first experience was when Capital One severed our disputes dept in Richmond VA in 2005 and sent that work to India as well. I'm sick of being hurt. I am a military brat and have a very strong work ethic, but it's those that don't that are causing Corp's to go overseas. I despise the greed in America and wish I could retire overseas, but I love my Country!

Screw Nimesh. May the destruction he's doing to these products and the customers come back on him tenfold.

Good ole' boys run rampant here. I've seen the decline over the past 10 years. But it's society as a whole. People don't care. Everyone is selfish. Me me me. Work remotely. Steal resources from the company. Give 20% effort. Expensive parties on McKesson's dime.

Don't get too excited about the Irving news. 1600 layoffs won't change the poorly mismanaged pharma/mms divisions. The fiasco with regulatory lawsuits reaching 150 million. Pay out legal fees but STILL not address what caused the illegal action, makes sense right? Cost of doing business aye?

Management needs a clean slate. HR needs a clean slate and positions refilled with ethical, educated and reputable employees who express real empathy and good judgement. I guess we shall see if my department is affected tomorrow.

Yes, India controls most of the AR business. Sad. The customers have no idea of the amount of private information India has access to.

McKesson HIS Paragon and Horizon are by leaps and bounds the worst managed business units I have the displeasure to work with. Good old boys who have no clue. Worst software compounded with an incredible lack of discipline.
