Thoughts on why so many folks are leaving this facility voluntarily if job cuts are over? Management in Houston starting to question what's happening in the Bluegrass plant.

I was there for 6 years and the fact of the matter is that there are many more successful companies in the Cincinnati area that are hiring, best I've seen since 2008. Go on Indeed.com and take a look. I enjoyed my time at Sweco when Dwight and Joe were my managers, but it was time to move on. Sorry I didn't say goodbye to everyone but it is a very stressful environment there.

Old saggy bottom and big belly are still employed how can this be. What a smack in the face!!
You can f--- off if you dont like me; remember its mind over matter. I dont mind and you dont matter.
So how can lisa tucker push shawn tucker up to the top and now he walked me out the door today. Chris fifer is dating his lead and she lets him get away with whatever he wants. YOU GUYS NEED THE UNION.
Sweco Mafia strikes again.
Florence is going union to try to stop the assault on the employees
It's a long fall for those who place themselves on a high platform.
Yep. Brian didn't like TF so he used this as an opportunity to can him. Those 3 are the Sweco Mafia. This is why the entire shop is so pissed off. It is unreal the things that take place here!
absolutely they are! those are the 3 no one wants to go against.
Bruce, Brian and Tom are calling the shots 100%.
How many watching this thread think the consultant is the one calling the shots and running the company, all the way to who is targeted to be let go?
I love you Scottie poo! Forever
I think it's time for a new thread.
Well I would say this thread is about done.
Parents must be proud, they raised a bitch!!!!!
Little cry babies can't stand the truth.
If u got a problem i'll meet you back at the "Penalty Box" parking spaces at lunch today. I'll be waiting.
Hmmmm.... trying to throwing Hr. And Maintenance under the bus doesn't sound like the grass is greener or your glad you left
Probably worked for toyota also.
If productivity is down, everyone is stressed to the max, most people hate you, and you can't even afford office supplies or janitorial service, then your doing something wrong.
Based on previous posters spelling, grammar and punctuation, I doubt he or she is the sharpest tool in the shed. If anyone believes Bruce has saved us millions they need to get drug tested. Jerk!
Previous poster is a complete asshole.
Bruce has made big improvements. He has saved the company millions. As far as the maintenance goes The problem is Richards sour out look on life. He has been ready to retire for years and but they can't let him go because Noone knows how to do his paperwork. Alot of the 10+ year employees are the problem. Stuck in the old days and can't except change. They know the job they been taught and that's it. They are to comfortable and think they can lay down on company. HR is the best. she isn't happy at home and that's her life stay out of it. Bruce for president 2017
True, true. Th challenge is how to survive SLB "management". Times have changed, the old Sweco is gone. You need to change with the times, or change jobs to find happiness.
now is not the time for people to turn on each other. we all are a part of Sweco Florence. let's not forget we are in this together. we all have frustrations and issues but let's not attack each other. management loves to see us all against each other. we could accomplish a lot more if we stuck together.
This thread should focus on constructive comments that will help the employees at the Florence plant . As far as the HR department goes , the one person working in that department is the ONLY advocate that the people on floor have . I've seen her bend over backwards to help folks with all kinds of things. We are lucky to have her. As far as the maintenance thing goes take it up with their supervisor if you feel it is creating a problem .^
Florence has a lot of dirty laundry.....air it out!
The bickering between individuals isn't what the problem is here guys, the problem is the mis-management.
Sliding on the ice on the roof? Then posting a video to your fb page? Sleeping in your car after after clocking in? If you even clock in. Late often?
Aww people have Internet courage.!!!!!!!!!!
what are you smoking? stop worrying about 1500??? does it not disgust you to watch coworkers that have been here for 20+ years get walked out the door while that much money is going in the pocket of a man that has done nothing but stand outside and smoke cigarettes? seriously? we've lost excellent people and yet he stays.
we aren't Toyota, we will never be Toyota. we don't run an assembly line.
we had cleaning services reduced, plants removed, no one working the front desk.....yet we still pay a man to "consult". and now once again people are being asked to take a "voluntary" furlough? you think he's going to go a week with no pay?
I don't know who you are talking about in maintenance but I don't agree with you. those guys take care of more than they should have to and they are being thrown in to work in other department.
Need to stop worrying about 1500$ man and start asking yourself why maintenance hasn't seen the layoff yet? You maintenance guys stroll around, hide out, play games on their phones, drive unlogged amout of miles in the company truck, wear designer jeans with shirt untucked and butt hanging out and get nothing accomplished all day. Making max pay. Everyone sees it but no one has a back bone to do anything about it. GladIMovedOn. GrassIsGreener.
Nobody is sleeping with HR, unless they're having phone sex with the ASK-HR hotline.
I don't think anybody is sleeping with HR, as there is only one rep left for the entire plant. She holds no power in this game of thrones. The HR manager apparently "left voluntarily" according to our management. Don't believe that for one second.
To many team leads is a huge problem at florence. The team leads don't have a clue how to do the job they are leading. They dont help out on the floor because they dont give a shit. Do what we have been doing and give them false info and let them run back to their little meetings.
Who's sleeping with HR?
Umm, Sweco Industrial is the 2nd or 3rd generation taco stand though.
To operate a taco stand in Tacoville would be quite difficult. There would be a lot of competition from other taco stands. Maybe even some 2nd or 3rd generation taco stands with a loyal customer base. Other taco stands would already have their supply chains of taco shells, tortillas, meat, vegetables and chili sauce well entrenched. It would take very sharp business, management and social skills to make this successful. I'll take my taco stand to Burgerville where no such vision is required thank you very much.
So glad I grabbed a copy of the Rick Ball folder from the H drive before I left.
Ask yourself this. If approximately 100 salaried people take a one week furlough and they average $1200/week, will $120k really save this company? Obviously not. So why would management choose this route? Short answer is to push people into resigning. This way no severance package or unemployment is required. This is a tactic that large companies use to manipulate the work force.
