Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

War of attrition

2024-2025: The company culture will not single out and remove the non productive. Too many people on the ship. Pay, CIP, ranking will all be reduced until attrition or growth rights the ship. The top performers who stay will be due to family or network reasons. The lowest performers will certainly stay. If management would just do its job we could move forward in a healthy manner. I will work on my cv for therapeutic purposes, might send out a few feelers, but unless the right opportunity comes along I will stay (really enjoy most things about my role).

Good luck guys/gals!!!

I think OP is on to something. CIP bonuses and rankings will be dismal and no promotions until the ship rights itself.

Don't worry, there will be no war of attrition. When the time comes they will be very deliberate, methodical and specific. May seem like taking a long time now. Good thing is, when it starts it will be over in a blink. Conjuring up rationales is a good way to pass time though.
