Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Questions while in the 60 day working notice

If you are laid off and get a 60 day non working notice, I understand you keep most benefits:

  1. Can you still use hra dollars (given with the copay plan) during those 60 days?
  2. Do you still accrue service time- if you are 2 weeks away from hitting an anniversary would you get those extra 2 weeks of severance since you’re still technically an employee during that time?
  3. Do you accrue pto during your 60 day non working

Absolutely yes to #3 (I did), and likely yes to #2 (I think so but didn't personally hit an anniversary).

Why are you asking these questions in an anonymous forum? Call the HR team or look through the FAQs in severance packet.

you can use benefits but you don't get any benefits. 1yes 2&3 are no. Also no 401K matching for the year you are laid-off in.

the 60 day non working period is for two reason - comply with WARN notice laws, and to reduce the risk of people causing trouble.

Me and my coworkers fully believe the 60 days is to trick you into taking a new job before it’s up so they can fire with cause and deny severance.

Yes to #1….. 2&3 are questionable… as I thought that time is already calculated in your package.

The 60 day non-working notice you are still a Full Time Employee. Nothing changes. You could be fired for cause if you took another job or went to a work site and freaked out.
