@2pok Trew is becoming just as bad with their human resources department. They are ki-ling our ability to keep the shop floor productive. It wasn’t as bad a couple years ago

I read Amazon will purchase Intelligrated because of continuous need for parts and rights to their IP

I’ve heard that the price they are asking for is ridiculous as well. They’ll have to fold eventually and someone will buy it.

I've been told that Noone will purchase us because of the crazy asking price. Then in 2026 when the projects are few and far between, they close all facilities of Intelligrated and use it for a massive tax write off

@2p1q yes they have announced it to the Intelligrated employees that they are being sold and can not internally transfer to other departments within Honeywell. Honeywell had not idea how to run a once very successful company when they purchases Intelligrated.

I've heard that there are four potential buyers. Fortna, True, Toyota, and Amazon. Given past rumors, I wouldn't count on any of these guys buying Intelligrated unless the deal is too good to pass up. The customer base has been absolutely destroyed by Honeywell and it will be like starting a new company almost from scratch.

So, I heard today that it was announced in a town hall meeting that IGS would be sold off from Honeywell, within a year? Who is willing to buy them? I assume that would mean Voice and Transnorm too?

They have been trying to sell a lot of SPS businesses for a while but been laughed at hard. It was the reason for the talent dump and removal of investment in R&D. All to minimise operating costs pre sale, accept they failed and now have a handful of broken, failing businesses that no one wants with old legacy tech and aging IP.

Sorry to hear that, but I suspect you are correct. I remember Honeywell trying to sell the PPE division for 1.3 bil when 8 years earlier they bought all of North for that. North was much, much more than PPE. And then with COVID, John Boy opened a mask plant in Phoenix that was promptly closed and moved to Mexico. I last heard that they still haven't put anything out the door.

Everything thing Honeywell touches, dies. Through greed and neglect.

I've heard from Fortna employees that some of their policies are similar to Honeyhell's, particularly overtime and vacation. If the Fortna deal goes through, I wouldn't expect much change other than much more competent management. I'd also bet that their health insurance is better given how bad Honeywell's is. But maybe not. I also suspect that if there is not an improvement in the packages, the exodus will continue. I'm still pulling for this supposed deal to go through. I just want to see how Honeywell frames their failure.

Well I hope the rumors how truth. A lot of good people there. I hear Fortna is not the smoothest running company but has great potential. Finger crossed.

Some say Darana Hybrid is trying to swing a deal to scoop up what is left of Intelligrated. They already have a lot of the old work force from there so it would make sense.

You can't say it is all 49Miro's fault. He was handed a disaster from John Boy. I think he has put forth a decent effort to save a sinking ship, but alas, no one is up to that task after John Boy's efforts.

I've heard the rumor from both previous Intelligrated folks and now from current Fortna folks. Evidently it was leaked at some trade show somewhere. The rumor is that Fortna (T H Lee) is purchasing just over half of Intelligrated to combine it with Fortna.
Can't say if the entire Intelligrated company will end up with Fortna, nor what facilities will move to Fortna. I kind of feel sorry for Fortna if this is true given the destruction that Honeywell has wrought on Intelligrated.

Why is John Boy still with Honeywell? He is a true Master of Disaster.

Just remember, similar to scanning media, they will shut the operation down and rid themselves of all employees just prior to the sale. It's how Honeyhe\ operates for all sales. Nobody will be spared except the big guys.

I've heard that the Fortna purchase has gone through. Not sure of any details and I'm sure that we won't hear anything from Hineywell until it's a done deal. Keep your resumes updated!

I have a friend who works for Fortna and it seems that Fortna has many similar policies to Honeywell. Particularly with regards to travel and overtime. I think their 401K is better, but I'm not sure. I think that one of Honeywell's selling points is that they have very beat down employees and anyone taking over will be welcomed whether there is an improvement in their own personal situation or not.

Plus, Intelligrated offers conveyor types that are well respected and not available elsewhere. i.e. Accuglide and other zero pressure accumulation conveyors. Plus really cool high speed sorters and controls. Intelligrated would be a nice fit with future Fortna growth.

In the decade+ prior to the Honeywell buyout, Intelligrated was a player in the warehouse and distribution segment and had an excellent reputation there. MHS (Now Fortna) was and is a player in the parcel delivery segment but has had no significant presence in W&D.

While these segments are similar, the customer requirements, engineering efforts, timetables, etc. are very different. After HW bought Intelligrated they jumped into the deep end of the parcel segment where they had no experience and it has been a disaster.

I can see where Fortna/MHS might see this as a way to purchase decades of equipment install base (after sales opportunities) and many proven designs that are considered industry standard in W&D.

What machines please? The ones that I'm working with are still made in the US. I'm just not sure for how long. From what I've seen, Mexico personnel have a long way to go before they can equal our quality.

You already can see some guys posting photos from Mexico factory on LinkedIn, so there is nothing secret about such factory. And logic says, that Mexico is significantly cheaper than US and inevitably some and later all production will be transferred.

Rumor is that Honeywell is already building machines in Mexico so during the year they can just move the plant and expand the current plant and sell the equipment they don't need. Since they only need 60 days to notify WARN about the closing. Heard the property is basically sold for development just need the signatures.
