it has been more like the last few decades. rand and stank have destroyed what was was a thriving company.
From my experience with my coworkers, doing your job poorly would not have gotten you fired. There is a lot of that going around. AT&T gives a lot of money out to people that do a bad job.

Too many workers. A Telecom company does not need that many workers. Especially those toxic workers.
