After 12 years with Sprint, I was amazed about the T-MOBILE culture in the months after merger. I joined an all Magenta team and everyone was amazing. They had a passion for their jobs, for their customers and their team.
Things changed starting with the vax mandate and the gradual shift to Sprint like policies. Many of the high performers recognize the change and left saying “this is not the company I loved” leaving me to slide back into life as it was before merger. Shallow teams that do not care, a culture of me first, leaders that lie at every turn to protect themselves. Basically, TMO is now no different from any large corporation.
The bottom line is stock growth, executive perks and efficiency. No compassion for you as a person and no passion for the customer experience. Profits above all. This focus on profit will actually have the reverse effect as it did at Sprint and as we see with Verizon and the others.
What a sad moment for what truly was an amazing company. RIP Magenta
