Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T Advanced Phone for Business

Former Fiber Rep - We were instructed to sell APBA service that was not market-ready. Not only was there a shortage of devices, but features like VOICEMAIL didn't function properly. I ended up receiving over $8k in chargebacks for orders that were cancelled without my control. I also know many other sellers who are facing collections in the mail to repay this debt. Unfortunately, they can't dispute it on CAAIRS either since it's an internal system. What a scam! Whoever orchestrated this maneuver is truly despicable.

Additionally, multiple orders of mine were cancelled without any notice provided to the customer or myself.

…exciting so they can turn down the Pots switches.

They’re $400-$500 POTS lines. Big loss to the company, then another company comes in with a reliable cellular option and AT&T loses 100%. AT&T doesn’t have a good cellular to POTS option.

APB devices are mostly made by manufacturer DataRemote and most commonly come with 8 ports , CDS-9090 or the two port CDS-9010. Ring central is doing the server hosting. AT&T is the middle man providing the service. Ithe implementation is complete SHEET show every time. The PM and engineers are now always Indian. The techs are having to wait hours onsite for an engineer to make himself available. Good luck getting a hold of the “PM” who’s probably moonlighting as tech support for other companies at the same time. The service itself is garbage as it doesn’t play well with fax machines and alarm systems , which is the whole point ! it’s a race to the bottom. Customers usually send it back as they give up trying to deal with the Indians. All after signing the contract over a year ago and still waiting on their installation.

A box that delivers an analog line to feed an old security panel so they can cancel their Verizon line. Exciting stuff.

APBA is state of the art tech... if you live in 2003.

This right here is why I always wait until the LAST possible second to sell a new "feature" or product. Especially if it sounds fishy.

Thats why you should never have been su-kered into selling this product. Just like when IP Flex first came out, stay far far away from it. Your best bet was to sell Collaborate, I am sure you would have had even more charge backs!!! Rookie Mistake

Seen sales folks say it is a horrible deal. Sure seems like a lot of work for little benefit. Pretty much all voice is though.
