Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I thought I was quiet quitting, but I just found out I'm loud quitting

The consulting company defined loud quitters as employees who take actions that "directly harm" the organization, while undercutting its goals and opposing its leaders.

"At some point along the way, the trust between employee and employer was severely broken," said the report.

"Or the employee has been woefully mismatched to a role, causing constant crises."

With the majority of the world's employees engaging in quiet quitting (59%) — only 23% of survey respondents consider themselves to be thriving or engaged at work.

Loud quitters also try and dissuade new employees from staying; I do this!! I warn everyone I hear thinking of coming to HON and tell them the truth; it's a giant waste of time.

The way, Honeywell trains, its management. Most of the people have no degrees They talk to push the matrix. You get hired at Honeywell by pushing parts. Whoever can get the people to push the parts the most get the job.

Here’s what’s wrong with your philosophy. If you’re pushing more parts and they’re really good. You should have customers like Boeing. threatening to pull a contract. Because they’re not getting their parts anymore.

We produce enough parts. However, we are only getting about 25 to 35% good parts. We had a person that said the more you produce the less quality you will have. Again they let this person go.

So it’s kind of funny when you see the results. She would always this during a tour. They got rid of her during a RIF. Then the rework and scrap increased as our numbers increased. I guess she was right.

You ever heard that saying, “ Your lies will eventually catch up to you.” I guess the gig is up and they did. Glass door hit it on the head. Before they were flooded by false ratings.

Honeywell’s run by unprofessional management. They all lie for each other and they’re all friends. When they claim they make the numbers for bonuses or promotions. They will always hide the truth and shut down anybody that’s trying to tell the truth.

Usually when somebody’s telling the truth, they try to find a way to get rid of them. Well, the gig is up. You had three customers within the last month demanding their parts. What is specifically stating they’re gonna pull the contract.

These goofballs don’t actually believe they’re going to do it. If they do it, it makes up 60% of my divisions revenue. You don’t need qualifications or schooling. In 11 years, this is never took place, I can see why you don’t need any degrees or schooling or any qualifications whatsoever. You’re friends with me. You got the job.

I was “woefully mismatched” to the role, still am. Started wide eyed and naive, assuming there would be some direction, training or leadership. “Insert maniacal laugh here”

Maybe they’ll put me in a leadership role now that I’ve proven I can sc--w everything up.

Compared to other companies of similar size, Honeywell is just about the worst that one can choose. Particularly if one is just starting out. There is no effective method of gaining stock/company ownership. Thus, a new hire will have no real benefit for sticking around and will find that it is best to look for other more lucrative opportunities. I suggest that a potential new hire to continue looking. Honeywell may offer a higher starting pay, but please know that as soon as you are hired, Honeywell will do everything they can to reduce your future costs to themselves through furloughs, layoffs, and minimal raises. Honeywell's idea is to hook you with a good starting pay and then keep you through falsely promising promotions and other false incentive bonuses. It won't happen for you, because you aren't connected. You don't have a daddy in law to help you.
Good luck and go somewhere else. Your life will be better for it.

The article stated that 60% of workers are now actively engaged in quiet quitting! That's astonishing, but it also seems to coincide with the gap between the wealthy and everyone else. Basically, the "haves" and the "have nots", or in Honeywell speak, the "leadership" and the "workers". In the last 5 years or so, the gap between income and wealth inequality is quickly widening, which means the poor and middle class are getting progressively poorer while the rich get exponentially more wealthy.

While there's not much us serfs can do to affect change in this regard, it is within our power to take actions that attempt to right the boat, at least in our minds. For me, I no longer solve problems; I let everyone struggle to figure them out even if I know the answer. If I see inefficiencies in the process (basically every process at Honeywell) I just leave it be. I do the absolute bare minimum with a big smile on my face because I know that leadership hates when employees don't work themselves to death. They expect us to work and work and work chasing that d-mb carrot on a stick that they then yank out from under us at the last minute Charlie Brown style. "oh, you almost made it! Had you just worked a liiiittle bit harder! Maybe next time" the manager tells his burned out employee after awarding the promotion to his ar-e kissing buddy.

I think we will see more failures within the company as we employees just stop trying to keep this place running. Human nature is to see things and fix them or help when help is needed but the fact is, Honeywell intentionally put itself in this position .mad dog admitted he cut too many people in the great RIF but didn't care because he was making money hand over fist as a result! Yea, I'm sure he lost a lot of sleep over that. It's time these sc-mbags got what they deserve; a crum ling company that barely runs and doesn't make numbers.
