The problem with "updating" work areas is that CPG has no idea what people actually need to work, they just follow hip trends and lap it up when designers sell them on this nonsense. I intentionally only use work areas that are old and haven't been renovated because that's the only areas where I can get some privacy and reduce distractions. If you think sitting in space that's a lot like a high school cafeteria will maximize your production, or that all company information should be freely shared among all employees regardless of their business need to know, you'll love the new spaces. Personally I think they are garbage and everyone behind these designs should be fired, but hey, that's just me.
