Every new manager we get seems less qualified than the last. It's like they're hiring for incompetence.

@ar Not so sure about cheaper. They are bringing in people and putting them at Senior director or VP levels. I agree 100% with OP.
Examples? I don't disagree, just hard to know what you mean.
Because all the good managers have either been let go or were able to read the writing on the wall and jumped ship. And then the new hires can be younger and cheaper.
