How bad did Enrique fumble this deal?

On scale of 1-10, how bad did Enrique fumble the Stripe deal? And how bad will our stock crash on Tuesday? Im wondering if I should just cash my vested RSU’s now before even bigger losses come.

Given how high the stock has run up, it would probably sell off even with ok or good news. I thought we weren't allows to sell before earnings?

@af hasn’t he been on the Board for a while and familiar with the company? I thought that was why he replaced Alex. That being said, he’s definitely out of his league and combined with Jamie Miller it’s a pretty bad leadership team. Also, I don’t believe I heard any rejection of offer or any response so they could still take the deal and the share price steadily declined all week. I’m guessing the earnings call will be another announcement of shrinking margins and zero growth. I can see this stock trading below $50 by the end of August.

Who said he fumbled it? They rejected it. They haven't said anything else which is probably the right idea because saying anything could cause the share price to swing. Nobody knows how much a share price will go up or down. Even the big wigs on wall street dont know for sure. They can estimate based on economic conditions and forecasting but its just a guess at the end of the day. Investor sentiment is what drives the share price which means if they think the business will do well, they buy the stock and price goes up and if they think it won't do anything special they sell the stock and price goes down. Its like we see paypal come out with good news and the share price still keeps going down. Why? Because the big investors think it isnt good enough. All sentiment based. Paypal cant do anything right in investors eyes even though they're a cash generating machine. Its a hated stock and something seriously special needs to be done to turn it around. Its no easy task for anyone and Enrique certainly isnt to blame. He has inherited a stuggling business and all of a sudden everything is his fault? Seriously have some common sense. All this hate directed at him on here is completely misplaced and honestly boring to hear the same garbage and lies being repeated.
