@e1 They really should have stuck with the 7/15 notifications. Zero thought given to what the staff have been going through since receipt of the first email 6/15.

@e1 Those who run this company don't care anything about it's employees OR the members. It has become quite obvious that their only concern is the $$ and keeping their salary/bonuses. I will tell everyone I can to AVOID working here and do NOT sign up for any of their plans.

Ah the conflicting information is so confusing. Personally I don’t care if my PL knows or not. She is great but the company doesn’t care and I am ready to move on. Monday cannot come fast enough for me.
I can confirm that supervisors/ PL's will find out on 7/31. The applicant for VSP will be notified first then their people leader will be notified on Friday 7/31. I believe it was done this way to give the employee several days to think about if they want to go forward with it or not. Supervisors and managers have truly been kept out of the dark about who has applied. We will have to get ready to roll with the punches as we lose staff to vsp buyout.
I think everyone who applied should get it. A company should not hold anyone back. Let them eat cake- we have all had enough here. This has caused so many to work on pins and needles. This company has no idea what they put people through.
Can confirm PL's know and are bracing for impact next week.
@OP PL are being kept in the dark as well. Those that say they know are either speculating or have a VP who has been transparent. As a manager I have been told nothing and both my director and VP acts like they don’t know anything as well. I call BS as I know at least VPs know so they can align for business as usual once it all comes out and s..t hits the fan!
@ax Yeah, they know months in advance who all they want and plan to layoff. If you can document and have the desire, energy, and finances, and a case to sue them, do it! Some law firms will not even charge you unless thsy win something for you.
I believe the managers knew the VSP was coming. Just in the interactions prior to the VSP being sent out, I am talking months. WYKYK. So do not let them feed you BS , they knew who was going to get laid off in your department if they did not accept the VSP . I knew many months before, intuition. I of course took the VSP .
It doesn't do anything to inform managers of who applied for the VSP. Once you get yiur email saying your approved, then you accept the terms of the VSP, then your management gets notified that you accepted the VSP and when your last day is.
@ap your leader might be on the chopping block then or they have no trust in that person. They may have also applied for the VSP and if they don’t have their answer yet, they would not be sharing yours or even the know that you applied.
I just told my PL, and he had no idea that I applied for VSP. He said that I was the first person to tell him.
The uppers know…. All depends on if the upper shares and trust their manager/Sup. Even if they don’t, they will end up sharing since this is very juicy gossip especially since their job is mostly safe !!!

Or your PL was told verbally by their PL but has not received an official notification regarding your application. Choice of words, Maybe?
@OP I don't think your People Leader is being honest with you. Or perhaps, your people leader's people leader just hasn't told them yet. Department heads have definitely been informed who applied.
so we will know before they do??? lol
My PL said they would know who applied for VSP on July 31. I’m not sure if it’s BY or ON July 31.
