Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

internal intel of Star and/or Accel being sold?

seems like this could be the biggest thing happening to this company.

anyone has seen any sign to confirm what the news reported?

I think it would be Bank of America out of all the banks if it happens but it’ll be controversial for sure, and a lot of legal questioning.

probably a good idea to sell now, and pay down some debt.

take pressure off the stock price and fend off wall street noises.

everyone gets to hang onto the job longer.

The rumor is they’re not selling the network off but selling it as a product. It would be very surprising if they completely sold off Star as they just spent a ton of money and time with the SAM/TREP migration.

Or they probably saw how Star is operating and said yea no thanks

Last update someone posted here was that the interested banks lost their interest. There’s probably too much regulatory hurdles to go thru on acquiring the debit network if you are a bank.
