There are a lot of rumors going around about layoffs and restructuring. I’ve asked a few leaders if they know anything, and they’ve been pretty firm that there’s nothing currently being discussed.
At the same time, rumors usually don’t come out of nowhere, so I do feel like there may be something happening behind the scenes. More than anything, I think there’s just a lot of fatigue from the constant cycle of restructures and uncertainty.

no idea about any current rumors, it stands to reason that things will continue to adjust. but as a “leader” I can tell you that often rumors really do come from absolutely nowhere. the stuff people come up with from just random things some VP says without even thinking about it is truly remarkable.
@d5 Finance will be skipped, as new CFO isn't joining until mid-August.

Enabling functions are going in September. It's not a rumor, but only shared behind closed doors.

This would be good for the Portland metro area. Nike has been hoarding talent for years and other businesses have suffered.
It’s already beginning within Innovation. Some teammates were impacted by last week’s reductions.
These moments are never easy. Behind every role is a person, a family, and years of contributions that helped move the work forward.
For those affected, I hope new opportunities come quickly. For those remaining, take care of one another and remember that how we show up for each other matters just as much as the work itself.
Expect more layoffs because Nike doesn’t have a strategy that is working and the ceo is going to be kicked out in the next 6 months.

@OP Ah yes, the annual manager migration. First comes “there’s nothing happening,” then calendars disappear, cameras stay off, and suddenly there’s an all-hands meeting followed by individual 15-min zoom invites to the lucky ones.
