Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Why did we lose the good ones?

I've seen two of the most valuable people on our team get shown the door while people who barely do anything keep their jobs. It makes no sense whatsoever. I'm not worried about them finding work elsewhere, but I am worried about what happens to the rest of us who actually do the work now they're gone.

Why? Because they most likely were paid more than others in similar roles. In most cases they earned the higher pay (through a lifetime of hard work) and their pay reflected so. So of course they trended as an older age.
When the company loses lots of its best talent, over and over, how will the people left run the ship? Good question.
Also, don't you think the customers will notice and eventually bolt?

It's not about your performance - repeat this until you understand - people are tagged for multiple reasons, high pay, age, s-x, how well you "mesh" with management or how well you support whatever inane corporate marketing jargon they put out. Did you laugh at GTM? Did you make fun of the "please come to the office for pizza and meet your co-workers events" all those things are noticed and you get labeled as troublemaker or too vocal about corporate edicts. Did you ever say "why the flock are we trying to implement a major crm system this late?" Are you buddies with your vp or director - all these come into play and it's really not performance
