Why exactly would you like to get rid of 4-6 months worth severance and join some other team, waiting to be LRd again?
@d6 Im so lost! Do you honestly think managers then at that point know if that person to be promoted was to he fired before promoted?! Those of you who liked this id--ts post is just as ignorant as he or she is!
That is not how it works! Middle managers no longer have the know who is or will be let go until they are either chosen with someone on their team the day before with the usual 2 days before a required HR LR training. Think about how sh---y some of these guys feel having to deliver bad news!
Cisco hiring managers don’t proceed to hire internal candidates knowing these are HR discarded and on LR. Such is life.
