Ohh lord
Wow no words
The commercial opens with Dan stepping onto a glittering lounge stage in a white tuxedo jacket, surrounded by rainbow spotlights, feathered backup dancers, and a piano that looks suspiciously ready for a Barry Manilow finale. As the music swells, Dan delivers a big, theatrical ballad about love, signal strength, and keeping every fabulous moment connected — from Pride parades to late-night karaoke. The spot ends as Dan blows a kiss to the crowd, snaps open a rainbow fan, and says, “Verizon: serving full bars, full heart, and full Pride, darling.”
@gn They - Danfonso invested in a company making buttons for the remotes 😆
Who wants this? Purpose of advertising is to entice you to buy, not flip the channel
The current senior leadership lost the plot about what the company does, why, and who they do it for.
We are supposed to be a communications company but we don't know how to communicate with each other or the customers anymore.
Thanks Blackrock!
They went from a great ad with Dr Evil.... to what a mock cologne commercial?? Really, really sad....
@c7 that ad is just O.M.F.G.
@ce lol what younger generation is signing up for post paid? They're probably on their parents plans and their parents shouldn't be drooling over someone that could be their child to upgrade to a simplicity plan that isn't simple at all.
To win younger audiences we should lead by example and appoint a younger CEO. This ad is not going to make Verizon cool. Go90
commercial is the exact opposite of the doughgirls leading Verizon. overweight, poorly dyed hair, receding hairlines (on a woman?! jajajaja), saggy lip injections. they are ashamed of what they look like, and their spouses are too so lots of cheating. but deservedly so with many doughgirls cheating verizon
@ce hope your right (I know it's "you're" but I'm trying to sound connected to culture) 😆
This actor is from one of the most talked about shows right now, so it instantly feels relevant. The idea is a play on a se-y ad, which makes it fun, unexpected, and disruptive. Verizon needs to win with younger audiences, so it need work that feels connected to culture, and this does that in a very specific way.
@OP Please include a link to what you’re posting about. It’s a big company with lots of moving parts and not everyone is aware of their every move. Thanks!
I think you’re referring to this ad:

WTH am I watching?? I'm embarrassed FOR you. Well clearly I'm not your company's target demo. The Dr Evil ad was brilliant.
entire leadership team should be fired. Verizon will keep getting buried. if you read this and you work for Verizon- you are a bottom feeder POS
This was the can you hear me now company? This is actually a joke and makes us look like complete id--ts. I know "s-x sells," but not cell phone coverage. We're cooked.
wow, I just watched it. what are they thinking? insane.
It’s desperate and an embarrassment for a company that used to be respected. She should be fired next and go back to peloton or suppressing free speech on social media.
