Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Did you get email from Don Duet

Got an email hour back, wording is weird
“If you are reading this and your role was not impacted, I want you to know : I do not take your for granted.”

Are they sending this people who are rifed or to people who still have Job or both

Weird email to send after hours

What is he-l is going on? I think everyone have received that email. They have taken off a good chunk of product owners, scrum masters etc and we are told we will be shifting from Jira boards to justify these changes.

In case anyone is getting comfortable because of this message, I survived 3 years of “you matter” emails just like this before it happened. The only reason I’m not freaking out is because I have an emergency fund and already knew the severance terms. Plan for the worst. It’s a stressful mindset to be in, but if it happens, you’re prepared.

Clearly AI, and completely insulting in both content and execution.

@OP “a small but targeted number”. I will be interested to hear how “transparent and open” Mr D is in the town hall.

I got laid off and I got that email. Great to rub salt in the wound. Thanks, Don.

@OP that is the voice of a guilty conscience. They have set this course. They still need the remaining employees to produce. I wonder what the security situation is there. Those halls must be echoing. This leadership is a big bunch of cowards. When it all comes out, they will scurry to avoid defending their plan.

My take on the email - “I do not take you for granted” (for now) as I need you to knowledge transfer until end of August then your RIF’d and jobless as I was extended until then. All the teams and individuals that were decimated today this translates to “you were taken for granted”.

@a3 there is a Town Hall on the calendar for 06/30/2026 in our group. Someone said recently, this is the last round "for a while." WTF does that even mean now, when everyone knows that if there was another crisis next week, they would hand out lay off notices written on paper towels in crayon.

Hearing about the notices given via prerecorded call was sickening. How did that happen? Were employees told to call the number? Was it an invite that turned into a voice mail? Reach out to your local media, ask to be deep background source. This needs to get out.

Whoever advised leadership on this should never be allowed near another employee engagement strategy again.

Sending out a email like this after people were told they are being laid off via a pre-recorded message while expecting others to carry on working after being told they’re expendable isn’t leadership it is cowardice dressed up as efficiency.

The lack of empathy, respect, and self-awareness on display is genuinely shocking.

@a3 explain it what do you mean by safe? How long? Till next week/month? How about the folks who were impacted in March and still got the mail as they are still in system?

I think that email is for those who are safe..explaining why the decision was made and that a townhall will be held for QA.

@OP that was it? So if someone was impacted he took them for granted? If that is the full context, then he is amateur at best.. what a joke of a leader. Another great SF hire.

@OP I don't understand that email. Per him if you are reading the mail and you role is not impacted. My role was already impacted and June 30 supposed to be my last date and now they gave 2 additional months as extension and now my last date is on August. So what does it mean? Can someone care to explain this mess?
