I was told by someone in HR that layoffs are done as frequently as every two months. The larger ones (like this most recent one) are most talked about, but smaller ones are happening almost constantly.
EH&S will get notices on July 6th and off the payroll by July 20th.
Hearing that another wave of layoffs will be triggered towards the end of the year. This time they will, once again…use proximity to a hub location as a lever to pick winners and losers.

30% by 27Q1 is the rumor. Another 20% to go.
There's another 10% being planned with a target off-payroll date of the week ending Jul 31st, with effective dates of August 3rd.
have you been living under a rcok. layoffs have been going on for the past 20 plus years.
The layoffs will continue to coincide with the turn down of the cooper network. They are accelerating the copper sunset, so expect a lot more layoffs this year and next.
I sure hope so. I want my severance to coincide with my retirement!

Honey child, they ain’t ever stopping.
Yes my understanding is that the current plan is to get the work force down to around 70K employees-as to the timeline, have heard there will be another large cut before the end of the fiscal year after that who know what 2027 looks like.
No day at Toxic T is safe…
Even if you ask nicely, we cannot honestly say it. I am not sure how long you have been at AT&T but layoffs are an everyday thing.
