Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Help

Applied for a new position at another bank. I’ve made it through 4 interviews and waiting for a response. The weird part is they reposted the position online a couple of hours before I completed the 4th interview. I would think I would have received a decline before the reposted the position but I had not even completed the last interview yet. Is it a bad sign??? Has this happened to anyone?

Look up Ghost jobs. Lots of companies are posting & interviewing without intending to fill roles.

@OP I really wish you the best of luck. As i get closer to retirement there is a couple things i will really NOT miss. Worry about getting a job, worry about keeping a job, worry about ANNUAL REVIEWS. I don’t count years i count reviews left.

I do hope the job market is decent for those that are looking. keep a positive attitude

Companies like to pump candidates for information potentially useful to them.

Panels that are interviewing are feeding their egos and wasting your time.

I went on multiple interviews with the same company and will never go through that process again. I felt like they were training themselves for how to interview. I think those are great if you want to practice interviewing also. These are companies that have someone in mind that is internal but they have to interview externally. Sometimes they stumble externally that they really like BUT in the end the internal contractor or candidate is who they want and in the end they totally wasted your time. Screen companies and don’t waste your time on those that seem to be screening. Or they can pay you to sit there

Companies interview to skim competitor intelligence. You're there to talk and they just sit back and take notes.

I had 2 and was expecting a 3rd found out today after a 3 week wait that 3rd round and offer happened while I waited. Expecting a turn down tomorrow.

I had 4 interviews and similar experience. Some companies just re-post jobs until the position is officially filled, offer accepted and background check done. This was my personal experience.

They might have reopened it for someone they wanted and that person was now available. I’ve seen this happen several times internally at WF. The only other thing I could think of is that they may hire you but assessed they need another FTE for that role.

Stop feeding the trolls. They're not there to help you, they just want to see how much a candidate will dance. And MAYBE snag a unicorn in the process.

Honestly, if candidates had more resilience then employers wouldn't play games as much as they do currently with desperate job seekers.

@a2 just finished round 4 on Tuesday. Just trying to figure out why they would repost the job before I started the 4th interview.
