Today I and several other people in Citi Frad division were laid off as well as representatives in Quality. The average tenure of those dismissed was 4 yrs or over. It is devastating and I’m just still in shock.

It’s almost like they drew out of a hat. That’s how random and poorly selected they were 😞
@OP I have one for you...I was given my 60 day notice yesterday and I would have had 5 years and eligible for retirement (and be fully vested) on August 23rd (my 5 year anniversary) since I am 57 August 2nd. I could lose substantial retirement 401K funds due to missing a few days to become fully vested and I will have to go on COBRA instead of applying for retiree benefits. My Warn notice says my final separation date will be between Aug 10th and Aug 24th. If it's not August 24th, I'm sc--wed
Over 10 years at the bank and let go in fraud as well. Devastated.

@OP it makes sense they cut fraud. AML has to work fraud cases, and most of the fraud cases we see are so poorly worked.
Sorry to hear about this, redundancy can be a daunting experience even you resend the job. Please do not blame yourself, take some time to rest. It could lead to something better.
@OP representatives in quality? Do you mean Quality Control analysts?
I heard it was like 35 people from fraud. Smh. I wonder if this round is done or if theyll keep at it for a couple days
Sorry to hear that; did they provide a rationale (AI or offshore) or just you're done?
