Virtual employees will get severance but it will be virtual severance. Of this I am virtually certain.

L5 here. I can confirm. People were shut off to early.
“ Will virtual employees get severance?“
What kind of a dimwitted question is this?
They’re employees, right?
If they’re being laid off, they are entitled to severance per the plan, same an any other employee.
Will virtual employees get severance?
@dx so who will they keep on payroll? Which jobs are they contracting out?!
The company is moving to a contractor workforce. If you haven’t figured this out yet, shame on you. Employees and pensions is high $$. Contactors are easily manipulated. I’m on the block and have known this awhile.
Wut
" I was locked out. When pressing my supervisor, she acknowledged I’m on the surplus list. "
This is a lie, and I don't know why it keeps getting perpetuated.
Whatever happened with people being locked out a couple weeks ago has nothing to do with the imminent surplus (which IS real...just not related to the IT issue).
The userid lockout has nothing to do with layoffs
It was a zero day security drill. That’s all
Enjoy the long weekend
I was locked out. When pressing my supervisor, she acknowledged I’m on the surplus list. If you were locked out, be grateful for this window of extra time to prepare. Most of those impacted only get “2 and thru”.
It’s 10% for this first round. More to follow later in the year.
I’ve heard 10% here and someone I know that’s in the know told me 15%. Cuts are across the board so all teams.
I agree the lockout has nothing to do with this. What depts will get hit the hardest? Will wireless get hit hard with the cutback on tower work?
Yes. We knew this two weeks ago.
@a5 neither do you mo--n
Someone doesn’t have anything to do on a long holiday weekend?
That lock out has nothing to do with the cut.
Completely different issue… but yes cuts are true.
Stinky winky is buying gerbils for Jeffie.
Confirmed.
