Centene has to meet that full year EPS to please investors. They will do anything to complete that, aka layoffs. Seems like many companies are conducting layoffs recently, UPS, meta, amazon, cloudfare, nike and most notably block laid off 60% employees! AI is great for the stock market but its horrible for us average everyday citizens
I have been let go effective 5/29. Ambetter Marketplace CCR for TN, KY, DE & IA. Most CA based remote nurses are being axed as well. CM, PAC, Directors. Doesn’t matter.
I don't think anyone under c-suite knows the full scope and it's not limited to any one area. leaders are for sure being asked to put together their shortlists and many areas have been given a percentage point for team reduction. There's a trend right now in large organizations everywhere with cutting large swaths of employees, it used to be a red flag in the market but now it's sadly a boost for investors - and in the townhall we were told the focus is simplify and margin over everything - so centene is clearly joining in on this trend. Meanwhile we still get psychological safety and culture messaging while we watch those around us being picked off one by one, wondering if we're next...rolls eyes.

This is the second time as little as 2.5 years that my team have been affected by changes due to layoffs. Previous VP and manager were laid off so our team transferred to a new team, our VP was laid off today, so my team again will be under new VP leadership. I guess this is the reality of working for Centene. Major changes within your team every 2-3 years. How many can a person take? So crazy

I got laid off today - Ambetter Prior Auth dept. Call was with Jeremy and Chelsea. Last day is 05/29. Severance is 6 weeks of base pay.

I'm in Ambetter Utilization Management had layoffs on my team today. Unsure of exactly how many but 4 people weren't invited to the meeting so I am assuming 4 from our team of 14.
