I had my meeting this morning, lot of my useless team and my management stays! Gonna monitor new H1B applications by Nike at Beaverton, will be the whistle blower if they fire us and hire H1Bs

Adversity and anxiety bring out the best and expose the worst in people. Choose a path emphasizing character and integrity, self reflection and empathy. Be good to your fellow man.
@a6
sigh, you need to think through what the word 'law' means
someone you don't know wrote down a bunch of words
someone you don't know will interpret those bunch of words
someone you don't know will enforce those bunch of words
someone you don't know will 'report' on this outcome
you think you will obtain a just and consistent result from this
how many media companies do you control
it is 'reported' that something like >2 billion was spent on the last presidential election
how much of that money did you contribute
h1b here, laid off and quite the opposite of your headline.
Here's the truth. I don't think they are hiring more H1Bs, rather they have ramped up hiring in Bangalore. By a lot. I have a reliable source that can confirm this.
The H1Bs in Beaverton campus were mostly tech and lowered management levels.
So it's easy for them to let people go here (H1Bs included) and hire 2 for the cost of 1.
The tighter H1B rules will help momentarily, but companies are just outsourcing to their international offices.
USCIS regulations restrict the hiring of H-1B workers following a layoff, typically requiring a six-month cooling-off period. Given that another layoff is possible within the next six months (as always), this constraint is likely to persist, making it impractical to recruit H-1B candidates under these conditions.
hard to track, but will happen, they are moving to ITC anyway...that is not hidden
Accept your fait and move on. No need to be bitter.
@OP good idea Daddy Trump approves it thanks for attention. Capitalism at its best let's wait for the money to trickle down any minute now
