is there any way you negotiate a longer garden leave/notice in the UK? I know they are only going for 30 days. The reason would be if the person is on a Skilled Worker Visa and needs extra time.

@et a bit more clarity, we recently around a month ago, got moved from OHAI to OCI and then quite a few US folks from under our Senior Director(US) got laid off beginning April including my manager(US)

I was convinced I was going to get my email today - my entire team in NAMER and LAD have been RIFd in the last few weeks… so am I safe, or just coincidence and my email will be here tomorrow?

I am from the UK and I just received my meeting invite for tomorrow (24 hours notice given) with the meeting title “Business Update”, and so it begins in the UK and EU :(
Received a business update email at 10ish UK time (UK CSS).
Some others UK in my team and other teams (e.g., DB) received an email too.

So if my manager is in the US, I need to wait 3 hours at least for the invite. Assuming she does it first thing.
Invites are from your manager and will be send for tomorrow at some point before COB today ..so all quiet maybe for 24 hours , sorry …
