I've heard that rumor one too many times. After all this preparation, couldn't they just rip the bandage off in a day or two? Why leave us hanging for weeks? Haven't we had enough stress already?

@ae I mean, at least try to be correct. It’s June 1 to be eligible for a bonus.
@ae all rifs happening now will still get psp
Don’t worry, they need to finish layoffs by May 1 because after that deadline they’d still need to pay out PSP bonuses. Can’t let those worthless firees have that
@a7 This is the same timeframe we've always had. One week of layoff calls and all-clears with "back to normal" by the following Monday
Not enough people in HR capable of being in the calls with peoples conversations. That’s why it will take a week.
@a5 No, that part is just speculation and common corporate practice.
Anyway, "most" GT teams will be back to normal by May 03, so it probably won't last more than 1 week for them
@a4 (the voluntary quitting part)
@a2 did you actually hear that? If so thats insane.
Looks like GT is starting tomorrow, at least.
they want you to quit "voluntarily" to avoid severance
