Gawd Zero is the laughing stock of EVERY org…
all of us in tech hate it just as much as the business does.
@a3 mmm… HR and Finance has had layoffs twice year since ‘23 to present. Tech probably whines the most, and that’s ok. Your org is highly toxic, I’ve been there. That’s why I left NikeTech to move into the business.
South Asians tend to dominate these job forums. Tech has a lot of south Asians.
I saw a poll once asking about demographics on Team blind and it showed 48% of 200 respondents came from that region. They are hungry for information. That's why it feels tech heavy
I bet tech would be king of the hill if they could actually make Zero work reliably and have the search show relevant results.
@dw tech is also instrumental in making sure everyone gets paid. Im sure all of the no techers would change their tune when the money hose stops spraying them
There are groups in tech that actually make more money than they spend on headcount. I know you'll not believe me, but 'tis true.
Tech reorg and layoffs every 6 months.... seems reasonal that most here would be tech.
@bz go to nike.com. Download the Nike App, NRC, NTC, and SNKRS. Go to a retailer and ask them to show you how they order Nike apparel. Go to a Nike store and look at the POS system. That's just the obvious stuff. Every transaction and product that Nike makes goes through Tech.

@bz They used to stick us nerds in Evergreen or before that Tektronix to keep us away from the cool kids. I was able to occasionally sneak onto the Ronoldo field to play soccer at lunch.
@bz All of the work to ensure things actually happen when you are working. Bad take, it's like saying, I've never looked under the hood of my car and have never seen an engine, what does it do? I can drive my car just fine without it.
Serious question, what do they even do? Seems like a worthless function with no rewards. Been at the company for 15 years and still don’t know, let alone meet some one who works in tech

We had a VP announce a reorg in 1-2 months, so everyone in tech is nervous. Not sure this warning announcement was made anywhere else
