Is the blue pulse truly anonymous?
Lets say they get all 0’s for most ratings, do they listen more to that feedback or off with her head?

It was made clear to me by ELG that it is NOT anonymous
It is as anonymous as they can make it. For teams w staff less than some set number, the comments get lumped into the larger department group, instead of being marked as "Sally's Team" or whatever.
The BP surveys are largely leveraged against unit managers, as apparently its their responsibility to keep us happy while not having power to actually fix anything.
They will absolutely toss a survey with all 1s and dismiss it as a "disgruntled employee."
@26h forget emotions! Why oh why is that introduced?
I can only speak for myself. Share honestly and have no expectations. Quite sure my leadership knows what I wrote. When I share, I also share options for future change. I have no regrets. If people respect you, they will understand your answers, your emotions.
@12n same, but did the stupid thing and shared my thoughts as well to senior leadership...decades of service and excellent reviews...then...dont share your thoughts. You are never anonymous and when leaders read the comments, they all start guessing at who said what.
Anyone else’s manager tell you to complete the survey and then report back when it’s done?
I’ve always been told by upper mgmt it is a goal for them to have participation but I’ve never seen that it is a requirement for the little folks.
I used to fill them out every time but nothing ever changed.
If my voice has never mattered, is there any reason to believe my silence will either?
After serving there 23 years I decided to answer the survey honestly as a leader and voice the concerns. Shortly after I was laid off in September 2025. No proof my answers were a factor but I have my suspicion...
@t0 API goal for whom? Leadership?
You cannot be held accountable unless specifically stated in your goals.
You must be in BH, too. Heard the same thing today.
Nothing is ever really anonymous. If they want to know they can find out. I heard in a meeting today that the survey is an API goal…bizarre.
@qb I haven’t responded to the last few and have no intention of responding to this one. They know the issues and refuse to address them so why bother?
@mh It’s all a bunch of nonsense. I keep getting reminders about the survey. I’m not responding. When they let us know that we need to return to the office, I’ll turn in my retirement notice!
You guys noticed for this round of the survey they removed the question along the lines of your intention to stay at HCSC? Thought that was interesting they dropped that question - I think they may have been really battered with that question and had enough. So shifted to ask other vague questions.
We are all to some degree incompetent and complacent, we need a paycheck and not willing to leave. I know they do read the comments in the surveys, but not all feedback is actionable. Lot of feedback is emotional. We can all point what needs to change but some change needs to come from us too. I say let your voice be heard but have no expectations. Do it where people will read it vs Layoffs.com.
@gr she’s a useless and incompetent bozo. And yes- all those stupid awards are bought.
My question is- while they don’t act on these inane surveys- do they even read them? Reflect?
Ir just write the check to the company who did the survey and claim success as a great employer because they offered a survey?
@OP surveys like this are both silly and important. The intention here could be viewed as very good for any organization, but that is at a healthy organization that puts a high value on their teams to deliver. Here, i can no longer provide that grace. The usage of this survey by senior executives has morphed into a vehicle to promote a non business agenda, but to essentially treat folks like feudal lords..."why doesn't your team appreciate what we gave them! It is your fault people leader that they dont see that!". Rather than looking inside and realizing they don't control the world. React to challenges, and pivot, and my goodness don't bring in or promote folks that don't understand the business which is obvious to the tenured team they get. Trust and leadership is always earned. It is never ever granted.
Yep. MT needs the participation numbers to validate that HR leader Award. Or for them to buy the “Best place to work” award.
The "leaders" don't care about the responses. They view it as " we are whining" "we are ungrateful". Stop doing the survey. It doesn't matter to them!!! And if you do it, just give them all low scores! Our voices do not matter, they are going to do what they want to do! Do your job and go home!
It goes to a 3rd party vendor to administer.
It’s confidential, nowhere does it claim to be anonymous.
Highly unlikely that the survey is anonymous. Why else would they have a link exclusively for you? If you raise legit concerns they will just ignore you though. They will find a way to twist the negativity into a bunch of BS. They will highlight the positive things which I'm sure are very small and the negative things that are plenty they will label them as "opportunities". Just don't complete that BS and be happy. It's clear that for top executives we are just a number.
@OP Have fun, be honest. They do read the comments and likely know who wrote them.
Change has to be realistic, in the company’s interest, not yours. Maybe comment how the company can improve that could benefit all.
- Probably not anonymous
- They probably don’t listen. If their lips are moving, they probably lying
- A waste of time to even fill it out
