Thread regarding USAA layoffs

How does this company get away with firing so many people?

And no one is talking about it. How can we warn potential new hires about these clowns?

@1d5 well then people shouldn’t violate our code of conduct, should adhere to our employments handbook, follow policy & procedures, adhere to training. All fast passes to get fired. There’s always a reason. Is doubtful a “friend” ever tells the full truth of what really happened.

@16t
Firing people capriciously is hardly specific to capitalism. In communism people get fired arbitrarily too - and sent to the gulag or liquidated on the spot.

USAA had a chance to hire a new IT person, and restructure it operations effectively, with the advice of OCC. instead it went with a Dino version of IT. Old mo--ns and its plan is more layoffs. I see another consent order coming.

The last 5 years of mo--ns have gotten me a 20% bonus annually and almost doubled my pay. Let the mo--ns continue to play with blocks.

@a4 “EMG being clowns” is a feature not a bug. They need incompetent leaders for the larger schemes. 100% of competent leaders leave immediately - it’s so obvious to them within months because it’s impossible to run a business without this poorly unless it’s being supplemented with other means. This has been happening for 15 years

Let's be real here.... It took USAA over 4 years to mention "Employees of certain Federal Agencies" under membership eligibility on dot com page.

WE WANT COMPETENCY PLEASE

@ba nah, the worst crime Bank has done in the past 4 years is when Bank AML AVP and Bank Ops GM thought it was a wise decision to pay McKinsey 3.5M only to hear that leaders must do morning standup meetings… you know what happened to the bank soon after in 2024.

@am Paul Vincent said the same thing in the Dec 2022 townhall, “the bank is back” only for 2 years to the date of that townhall, another consent order hit.
