Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How did our society fall so far?

Publicly known mo--n John Stankey makes the average AT&T employee’s salary in a day, for the job of deciding which wageslaves to lay off every quarter.

Not only should his job be ridiculed, but the same wageslaves even turn around and applaud him like Samuel L Jackson in Django.

How did we fall so far as a society that we allow this?
Does the corporate propaganda just work that well?
Did the Republican brainwashing of the population from the Reagan era work so well people have conditioned themselves to think it’s normal?

Why don’t you take his place if you are qualified? Of you are under qualified then you can’t even find another job.

Hey, boomer, Reagan was like 40 years ago, even the teens who were too busy watching MTV to notice him back then are grandparents now, so blaming everything on that era feels pretty outdated.

More people > fewer jobs

Supply and demand problem, we have constant improvement in technology increasing efficiency and automation = need fewer people to do the work. Couple that with more college educated people than ever chasing fewer and fewer jobs. Ai is already putting that on steroids, in the next 3 years probably will be 1/2 the people working.

At the same time, we have more and more people through natural population growth (making babies, though this is declining) and over the last 20-30 years a ton of immigration (legal and illegal). More people, slow to no job growth = lower wages

Don’t even get me started on the illegal collusion companies do on wages with the whole 3rd party market adjustments and companies.

This all lowers wages. For the blue collar types, their days are numbered as well. Ai and bots are going to replace them in the next 5-10years. So not looking good for anyone longer term on the current trajectory.

The policies you voted for each time you went to cast a vote for politicians whose policies diminished your quality of life .... and here we are now! And you continue to adhere to those same 'principles' today.
When you vote for incompetency, thuggish, grifters year after year, you receive what you voted for.
