Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Quit over pega

My coworker was called into a meeting. They were informed of a low pega score. Despite meeting productivity and being a good employee, they felt accused of not working. They quit the next day. How does pega show someone not working when they are meeting production goals?

@4nc I feel this 100%. Pega does not accurately record production, and it seems to fluctuate as to what is considered meeting on a daily for the same exact work every day. My job is pretty mundane and repetitious. Between the AI messing everything up, foreign vendors messing everything up, cr-p training, lack of support from upper leadership, what was once a job I didn't mind showing up for (when they still offered incentives - ie, bonus's, PFP, KCPs) has now turned into a daily dread and battle to stay sane and in check.

PEGA is definitely the future for Centene. first we were told it was going to be a tool for the people leaders and that it would not be part of our metrics.Within a week or two we were then told it WAS going to be part of our metrics. So even if you were still doing the amount of cases you need to do and should be doing – PEGA could say you are not working to potential. Our weekly team meetings are getting more and more depressing – you can just feel the air being su-ked out of the room – even on teams – with all the double talk coming from management. I’m out…5 years of constant change and stress is enough for me! I have had 8 managers with 2 teams being dissolved/restructured and 3 transfers due to need for reallocation. The CEO makes 13 million dollars, new vice presidents are being appointed every week and yet it’s one of the most inefficient companies I’ve ever worked for. Standardized protocols are not adhered to or don’t exist, poor training and the software is cr-p.i was hoping to make it a few more years but my mental health is tanking.

So I am a PL in clinical and never heard of PEGA. We use other metrics to track productivity as well as intense and demeaning audits on our direct reports. Is this in use across the entire enterprise? Or only specific roles?

@gr why don't the just call it digital micromangement since we're remote and they can't see what we're doing

@k6 pega is a program that follows your mouse movement in all applications. It tracks how much time you are "working" in those applications. They claim everything is accounted for, TC, word, excel, webex, etc.

All of this sounds crazy, the company, the manager, and even the employee. I guess they didn't need the paycheck to up and quit after one meeting. (Good on them, I could only dream)

What systems use Pega?

I never hear anyone say "Pega", but i have noticed that Cenprov shows Pega when I open it.

Is there any other programs that use Pega or is Cenprov the only one?

I would make them fire me and then I would file unemployment.

@g9 I know the COO is all about it, so I’m sure Sarah is too.

@ff Imagine that my fellow pawns. 3 minutes. Not enough time to grab a drink, use the bathroom, etc. Do you really think Sarah and her ilk abide by this? This is dehumanizing. When will the people decide they have had enough? When will enough be enough for you?

Does this now mean that taking our lunch and other supposedly allotted breaks results in a lower Pega score, putting us at a higher risk of being put out to pasture by the company? Smh

If the associate goes three minutes without interacting with their computer (mouse, keyboard) in a work-sanctioned application they will show as inactive.

@aw senior leadership is obsessed with pega. it’s gross- when i discuss a staffs concern our directors first question is what’s their pega, and they use that to negate any concerns of the line staff.

@ah Definitely those days are gone. Snitch Software is likely only the beginning.

@OP pega is based off computer interaction so a mouse mover won’t cut it. The efficient staff are punished and upper leadership directive is they should have more work to keep the Pega score high. Gone are the days are flying through your work and sorta coasting in remainder of day.
