The recent job title changes were not a coincidence - these were done to setup an easier transfer of staff to Cognizant.

I don’t think this was the reason. Everyone’s titles changed, including those who were laid off at the same time. People didn’t even know they had gotten a title change until their final paycheck came. They’re doing an entire “realignment” on role titles throughout the entire company.
