It was doomed to failure from the start. This idea that you MVP everything - technology, insurance products etc. and never go back to fix the issues you introduce through stupidity/lack of planning/pushing products out the door too quickly - just means that you have pieces of garbage bolted on to other pieces of garbage.
How does Zulfi et al. expect the customer to hang around when they can't service their products online? How's the customer going to react in 2 years when Zulfi et al. shut down the legacy systems and try to force customers to move into ASC products? Retention's already really bad, do they really want to risk losing 10% of their customers? Decisions are made internally, not for our customers, but to satisfy the ego of Zulfi et al.
Hundreds of millions of dollars on new products and tech for what?
It's no different than other systems of Allstate past. People are going to pretend they loved Alliance and Advisor Pro?
Not surprising. When you have a culture based purely on fear, nobody has the ba--s to actually lead anything lest they be the one with their name attached to the failure.
Did you offer them a Grub Hub 15 dollar gift card? Maybe a 5 dollar Amazon gift card?
