Why even bother giving a 2 week notice. Just leave. Nobody will even notice that you're gone. The bank is in the habit of laying off employees the same day it is announced. No pre-announcements. The cruelest yet was disabling badge access to the building around noon, to prevent them from returning back to the office from lunch. We had to box up their stuff and hand them over to them in the lobby. I can never forget that!
