@v2 even if AI isn’t there yet, the CEOs of the world think it will be. So they are laying off people to fund the AI infrastructures they need to build for the promise of AI. As for the offshoring, they are pretty sc--wed themselves as that’s where the easier coding work goes. That will be the first to get cut because AI can actually do their job and will be cheaper still.

@tk AI is overrated, it has some use but mostly it is a marketing hype. As usual, the AI companies attempt to sell nonexistent business opportunities.
@r0 completely agree. When we hit 30% or 40% unemployment, we are all going to look back fondly on the days where outsourcing was our biggest concern.
Actually reducing the US workforce is the best strategy for Q now. Modem tech. is no longer high tech, and there is not much to invent for now.

Stop the outsourcing of jobs to Chennai and Hyderabad. Americans are getting scammed by the top executives and Wall Street.. they are getting rich by outsourcing American manufacturing and tech industry for decades.
