@bz last couple of layoffs, they left people on payroll after they were laid off for ~2 months, THEN they get paid severance. This is a "nice" thing to do as it gives workers more time to find another job, but it also lets Nike avoid certain regulatory disclosures.

When you attack people, you might want to ensure you aren't wrong before doing it, as it makes you look doubly bad.

Most likely before March end / early April so that by May end people laid off will no longer be on the payroll.

In 2024 layoffs, the news was announced in investor meeting 57 days prior to the layoffs starting. Since this time, it was announced on 3/5, 57 days puts it exactly at May 1st.
