@c1 are you that stupid? If we get laid off today we'd still be on payroll in May
This is for tech only or for everyone?
hearing the food services team has already received the notice that next week will be wfh
It's already started and nobody is noticing, so I guess they are doing a better job
SEC team might go next week.
Week before or week after Q4 earnings call.
@bz Congrats, you’re d-mber than a data engineer
@bz last couple of layoffs, they left people on payroll after they were laid off for ~2 months, THEN they get paid severance. This is a "nice" thing to do as it gives workers more time to find another job, but it also lets Nike avoid certain regulatory disclosures.
When you attack people, you might want to ensure you aren't wrong before doing it, as it makes you look doubly bad.
@bj it's 2 months of severance and you get paid biweekly. Do you understand math and dates? If not, I imagine you're one of our data engineers.
Most likely before March end / early April so that by May end people laid off will no longer be on the payroll.
In 2024 layoffs, the news was announced in investor meeting 57 days prior to the layoffs starting. Since this time, it was announced on 3/5, 57 days puts it exactly at May 1st.
Speculate away
sooner than you would like. line go down, people get kicked.
