It's okay to be wrecked by a layoff. When I got cut from my previous company, people told me to just move on. Sc--w that. It hurts. That job was my routine, my purpose. You're allowed to be upset. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been through it.

Same man, same. I wasn't planning on being retired this early, but...
@a2 I was too and my head may be starting to recover after 25+ years there. I have severance and what was supposed to be retirement savings as an emergency fund. Doing ok so far, but need to find something. Even part time would do it.
I was part of the September 2025 RIF. My head space has not been too good since.
Good thing I have $100,000 in emergency fund 🥲
