I assume you learn how to make agents in Claude. You taught yourself how to prompt AI to get solutions. You follow some people on X who teach you the latest on Claude and Gemini. You have made a list of skills that you have and things that you have learned. You have asked AI what jobs you should have or positions you should go for and too identify your gaps. Even if you are retired or semi-retired are you using the best trading strategy? Are you investing correctly.. with proper risk management? Proper portfolio for the long run?

Tons of places are hiring but the days of getting paid to be irrelevant are coming to an end for many. Youre gonna have to go rub elbows with the poors who do actual work to keep your lights on. Oh the humanity!
At this point its a contagion. It started as reasonable shrinkage from overhiring, CEOs who went first got rewarded by the market for "fiscal discipline," and now more recently AI has provided the cover for all of them to keep chasing that high. It doesn't change until something shifts and the stock market stops rewarded companies for announcing layoffs.
I recently came into a medium inheritance so I've shifted from trying to avoid it to just being completely dead inside. Even if I got fired without severance I'd be ok for a few years, hopefully long enough to wait this garbage out.

Ugly reality is there is nowhere to go for most of us. We are stuck and WF knows it.
Oh im so scared, I live in fear. Get real. Ive got a bit over 6 mil saved. They lay me off it will just give me an excuse to tell my old lady. I'll catch up my video games and plan my next international trip.
