Finance ops has an external job posting for a credit and collections analyst. Really? Just months after layoffs? The job description says to resolve billing and payment disputes. Can this not be done by AI or competent management? Does the executive leadership not have any prior operations experience that got this approved? Vz needs efficiency and value. Not more inefficient army building with overlap and chaos which directly caused the need for layoffs in the first place. Does Dan know people are posting external manual processing roles just months after layoffs???

@cz true. Lake Mary is a toilet where hardly any serious work is completed.
@cz there’s a new leader that has zero finance operations experience and has always ruthlessly pressed other teams for savings. Yet now on the other side has bullied a path to filling headcount for data entry externally just months after layoffs.
@c0 finance has way too much time on their hands. Coloring with crayons, fashion shows, and setting up game rooms where employees play video games during work hours. it's shocking J. Stillwell, L. Czapka, and J. Moak have jobs having failed at leadership. their AVPs/Sr.Dir are just as worthless, if not more!
That req was probably created to hire someone's bestie. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
Just because there is a posting does not mean it will EVER be filled.
Finance ops is well known for having lots of spare time. You’ll find them frequently posting about volunteering and elaborate holiday decorations. Consumer finance ops is efficient and absorbs attrition. It’s interesting that Business finance ops somehow got a pass to be inefficient and add headcount. Is leadership more focused on building their own army again vs delivering value? History repeats itself.
Best guess... several quit after or maybe during the mass layoff and now they have to backfill.
