@cj managers don’t know anything either. Managers don’t even know how the 3 days a week is calculated let alone how the time is tracked

@d9 no trust since people cannot view how the 3 days are even calculated.

@by If this is true and the network connection is what matters I am no longer going to meet people in person, get lunch with team, or interact in anything besides my laptop at the office because meeting with people is extra work

@b8

My manager hasn;t heard anything about that. ot saying you're lying, but TIAA has had issues tracking the amount of days average, so I don't even know how they can track the hours reliably, especially with just firing and not giving a warning.

@ax office empties out because sitting at a desk on zoom isn’t for the culture

If this is true guess I'll be fired lol. I highly doubt they have started doing this, they never mentioned minimum hours, so technically there's nothing wrong with not staying the whole day. They'd probably have to fire half the company if that were the case. If it is true, though guess I'll start staying the whole day...

@b8 is 2.5 or 3 hours then not an issue or will that be the next group that is fired without warning?

@ax What did your manager say about the hour requirements and how it is tracked? They tell you to follow the requirements 3 days a week but do not tell you time requirement

@b8 yes, let’s all jump on this rumor bandwagon. im leaving this company anyways this year, as soon as i get any offer from any other company. i know every company has its problems but tiaa is particularly troublesome. ill gladly help you spread this unsubstantiated, unfounded rumor if it means more good people will attrite for greener pastures before this company is driven into the ground.

Why make it easy for management to terminate you for cause for playing games? Swipe in three mornings a week, stay after lunch, leave in the afternoon and you'll never get on any lists.

@by If it's "bs", then management is spreading it. My manager reminded our team, again, of the in-office requirements. The manager also cited the reported "30 people" who were let go. How are they tracking it? So far, I haven't heard. You could ask your manager how it is tracked.

@b8 how do they track in-office hours? Frequently I’m in office for the entire day in in-person meetings. We don’t swipe out and my laptop isn’t connected to the internet the whole time. I’m a manager and have never seen such a report. Stop spewing bs.

HR is running reports from last June to Dec and firing people who averaged less than 2 hours per day on their in-office days...the last report that I know of had 30 people...they are reviewing department by department...

Wouldn’t be surprising if they required more in office days or hours per day.

Most people in Charlotte seem to be out of the office shortly after lunch.

Yes. Earlier this week, my manager gave me a “gentle reminder” of adhering to the in office requirements
