What does "JE" stand for? I know it's a layoff, but I'm from another major corporation and we just use the term RIF.

@bf As an American we aren't ok with it. They just force us to deal with it regardless and we have zero say in it. Its honestly disgusting. Hope its better overseas if you're over there. Stay safe.

@bb yep. manager stated our team is expected to be 40% onshore employee + 60% HIH within the next 2 years. Corporate America throwing away the white collar worker and neither political party will even mention it in the news cycle. "AI" is a convenient excuse

@b8 I am hearing a lot of the legacy Evicore people that were moved to the enterprise are getting let go.

Cigna HIH is the driving force behind for these layoffs...Cheaper Solution and Save money for Cigna and raise Cigna Stock price so that CEO can retire with good gains.

Laid off an hour ago, Evernorth AI COE. Been following this board for the entire time I’ve been employed at Cigna because layoffs started two weeks after I was hired a few years ago.

Glad to be done with the evil empire. At least my conscience is clear now.

Just found out one of the IT PMs we work with was let go today. While I personally liked them we have way too many project management folks. Hoping we do not lose engineers though.

How is Digital & Analytics not experiencing layoffs yet? Lots of people there being overpaid to "think" and wasting money not delivering. Also seeing HIH slowly taking over there.

If you layoff good IT folk, then layoff people not generating money and are cost centers.

Yep, laid off this morning as well. Saw the writing on the wall weeks ago and prepared a lot for it over Christmas.

@aw are you a contractor? pretty sure contractors didnt get it because theyre not part of the reduction. at least when they talk reducing headcounts since only w2 (full time) counts for that

Yes this is what I’ve heard - IT will be significantly impacted yet again today. Worse than last year.

I’m so sorry. But the silver lining is getting out this horrible work environment with some leaders who not only don’t do any work themselves, but treat their teams horribly. We are merely numbers to this company, remember that. Do what you need to but do not give anything extra.

@aj guessing if you got that email -- you're not JE'd. I didn't get that email you mentioned.

Same, good luck with HIH. I have been fixing or redoing there terrible results for months up until now. That was a job in itself.

I got played off today as well. Evernorth IT. at least I no longer need to be anxious and get to move on to the next phase of my professional career.
