Bridget Engle is Despicable

Bridget Engle, whose 2024 compensation was $22.11 million, admitted on a town hall call today that employees were being forced to sit on the floor due to lack of space. This is reminiscent of textile mill workers who were forced to wear diapers because they were not allowed sufficient bathroom breaks. Ms. Engle should be ashamed and embarrassed at this inhumane treatment. The fact that she can casually admit this shows her complete lack of empathy and awareness. Her NUMBER ONE priority should be immediately resolving this issue, publicly apologizing to all employees, and personally apologizing to the affected employees.

You sound like someone who's trying very hard to put on a brave, calm, cool and collected face, when in reality you're shaking in your boots at being called out publically for your unprofessionalism.

Here you are at the very start of your "work" day, back on this thread after already posting in it yesterday, trying once again to defend your narcissistic (in)actions. Try expending some of that energy you're wasting here in futiley trying to CYA, with instead genuinely caring about and figuring out how to provide decent work areas (including sufficient seating) for WF in-office employees.

In other words: DO YOUR JOB, b!tch.

I doubt a single WF employee would make it to lunch for a single shift in a textile mill so save the breathless and stupid comparisons for your break room circlej--ks among your fellow mo--ns who also probably think they've got it oh so bad.

So BE spoke? I didn't think she spoke -- just have TK do the talking. So are they going to initiate a back to home program or keep everyone in curry smelling sardine cans. Has anyone in tech management or HR ever read the classic Peopleware book? So where is CPG constructing? I bet it is In Columbus OH. Lots of business there. I wonder if CS will move there to flee from Mamdani's tax.

Definitely not the message others heard. Was it acknowledged there was a lack of space, yes. Did they change requirements to accommodate, yes. While some execs are pulling the trigger on more days in office per week others are holding and shifting bc CPG has construction occurring in certain sites impacting space.

Did you record the TH mtg. or have access to it to save?

If so, then consider using that to make a complaint/file a lawsuit, because what you described is illegal:

At the same time, you could also send your concerns about this illegal violation of safety/basic accommodation in the workplace to each and every one of the WF Board of Directors

with cc-ing BE personally (and citing her TH comment in your email for reference...even better if you attach a file of the TH with a timestamp of her actually saying that), reminding her that she, along with her fellow Operating Committee Members and the Board of Directors have a responsibility to provide adequate seating/workspaces in the professional work environments of which they "lead", and if they're either unable or unwilling to provide that, then fulltime WFH should be available for every WF employee to opt into.

And if they don't rectify the situation within a reasonable timeframe, then they are subject to not only being professionally sued in a class action lawsuit, but personally sued, as well.

Yes, that's always been HYs medium term plan. Close almost all the buildings, shove the survivors into those that remain, and then keep downsizing until everyone 'fits'. Long term, of course, we all go.
